Parallel
Development
So, I’m watching “Black. White.” the other day. Episode 5, where the girl Rose comes to the conclusion that there is no real difference in
the races. Yeah, I’ve been saying that for
years.
The whole racism thing
just doesn’t process for me. I mean, has there
ever been a less-accurate name for something? When you go fill out a job
application, is there a little block for you to fill in your “race”, no.
They ask for your “ethnic origin”. So, why don’t
you call it ethnic-origin-isim.
If you want to hate on
another race, then hate Gorillas or some other Genus of ape. Humans are
humans are humans, whats the big deal here? We’re all just
people.
The only thing I can come
up with is Parallel Development. Typically used as a military term to
show two different groups developing the same technology with the same
techniques, but without the sharing of knowledge. The term applies to the
way I have been thinking for years, and what Rose came up with.
Hell,
on the subject.
Sometimes I think there must be little cameras watching me all the time and
ripping off all my stuff. I remember using the name Morphious
a good five years before The Matrix came out. And
that’s not the first time I’ve seen my original stuff in media. Is this
just parallel development? We all watch the same programming, relatively
speaking, and we have similar ideas. I guess enough people will
eventually hit the mark on the same spot, ala lottery. I suppose I
observe those occurrences more often than others
because I am always trying to be creative in everything I do.
I just hope this isn’t where my writing is heading. I feel that I may
have an edge over other writers out there because they are all readers, so,
like other forms of media exposure, they all have the same types of things
floating around in their heads. I don’t read, at
all. In my eyes, that’s a plus since I truly
have no idea as to the kind of stories that have been put in print, hopefully I
will have some stuff that is actually original.
