My Electric Guitar

The WRC Gibson was built by Wayne Charvel for Gibson back in 83 if my memory serves. I found this one at a local pawn shop and got it in a cash/trade deal for my old jackson, which I miss. This thing is a mean axe, but its been all beat to hell ever since I bought it, so I decided to give it a new paint job.
After tearing everything apart this is what I'm left with.

After 25 years the neck on this thing is just about perfect.

But the real gold in my eyes is the locking tremelo, a Kahler Spyder

Intresting little bit is this piece of tape that was under the neck mount.

Out with the old electronics.

And in with the new.

I sanded the whole thing down by hand, multiple sittings... What I wanted to do for the paint job was a metallic silver undercoat with a crackled black top coat. But after a couple failed attempts I decided to go a different direction and found this Hammered Black that I think looks sweet.

Now its time to start with the new electronics.

At this point I'm beginning to wonder if its all going to fit.

In the end I got it all in there, a whole cluster of wiring.

Nice and pretty.
